Terms & Privacy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
These terms apply when you order or use a KisahKita digital wedding invitation, and when guests open or reply to one. By placing an order you agree to them.
1. About us & contact
KisahKita (kisahkita.app) is a Malaysian online service that makes digital wedding invitations with RSVP.
WhatsApp (main contact): +60 17-785 0985 — for orders, help and quick questions.
Email (official matters): info@kisahkita.app — for refunds, complaints, privacy and data requests, or anything you need in writing.
2. Orders & payment
- Prices: Standard RM35, Premium RM49. One-time payment, no subscription.
- Payment: by DuitNow QR or bank transfer to the account shown on the order page. Please upload your transfer receipt with your order.
- Activation: your card goes live after we confirm your payment, usually within a few hours and at most 24 hours. Until then your link shows "Almost ready". You can already upload your song and edit your details.
- We may decline an order (for example if we cannot find the payment, or the content breaks section 5). We will tell you why on WhatsApp, and any payment received is refunded.
3. Refunds
- Before your card goes live: you can cancel for a full refund.
- After your card goes live: payments are non-refundable, because the card has been delivered and you can keep editing it yourself.
- If something doesn't work because of a fault on our side and we can't fix it within 3 working days, we will refund you in full.
- To request a refund, email info@kisahkita.app with your order number (e.g. WC-AB12CD). Refunds go back to the account you paid from, within 7 working days.
4. Your card & how long it lasts
- Your link (kisahkita.app/your-names) stays active until 2 months after your event date. After that it shows a thank-you message instead of the card.
- You can edit names, date, venue, programme, contacts, RSVP settings and gift details yourself from your dashboard until the link expires. If you move your event date, the active period moves with it.
- Changing the design, your link name or your package: please WhatsApp us.
- Keep your dashboard password safe. We only store it in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot see it or tell you what it is, but we can reset it for you after checking it's really you.
- Please download your RSVP list before the link expires. The dashboard has an Excel (CSV) download.
5. Your content & responsibilities
- Please check all details (names, dates, times, addresses, phone numbers) in the live preview before you submit. We aren't responsible for mistakes in details you entered, though you can fix them anytime from your dashboard.
- Only add family phone numbers with the permission of those people, because guests will be able to call or WhatsApp them from the card.
- Only upload music and text you have the right to use. We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive or infringes someone else's rights.
- Card designs, artwork and the KisahKita website belong to KisahKita or its licensors. You may share your card link freely but not copy the designs for other uses.
6. Privacy notice (Personal Data Protection Act 2010)
We collect only what is needed to make your card, run RSVPs, and contact you about your order.
What we collect
| From | Data | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The couple / person ordering | Your name, WhatsApp number and optional email; the names, event details, family contacts, bank details for gifts, and story you add to the card; your payment receipt; your song. | To make and show your card, confirm payment, and contact you about your order. |
| Guests (Premium cards) | Name, whether attending, number of guests, which side, optional wish; name when reserving a wishlist gift. | So the couple can plan their event. Wishes are shown on the card with the guest's name. Gift reservations show only "reserved" on the card. |
| Everyone | A scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address, kept for 2 days. | To block spam and abuse. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. |
Who can see it
- Guests see what's on the card, including wishes and the guest count.
- The couple see all RSVP replies in their password-protected dashboard.
- KisahKita can see orders and receipts to run the service. We never sell your data or use it for marketing without asking.
- Service providers that store data for us: Supabase (database and file storage, servers in the European Union), Netlify (website hosting), Spaceship/Spacemail (email) and Google Fonts (loads the text fonts on our pages). They process data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your card, guest replies and uploaded files until 6 months after your link expires, so you can still ask us for a copy, and then delete them. We may keep basic payment records (order number, amount and date) for as long as required for tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your card earlier.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing info@kisahkita.app. Guests who want their reply or wish removed can ask the couple (who can hide wishes in their dashboard) or contact us. We reply within 21 days.
Browser storage
The order page saves your draft on your own device so a refresh doesn't lose your work (passwords are never saved). The dashboard keeps you logged in until you close the tab.
7. Service availability & liability
We work hard to keep cards online, but we can't promise the service will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or problems at our hosting providers. If your card is down because of us, contact us and we'll fix it as fast as possible.
As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect losses (for example, a guest not attending). Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where they apply.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force when you placed your order apply to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
